A bicycle saddle or seat is commonly attached to the seatpost and the height of the saddle can usually be adjusted by the seatpost telescoping in and out of the seat tube. Men and women are shaped differently (obviously) and therefore it is very important to get a saddle specific to your gender. Ladies saddles tend to be shorter and wider at the back as ladies sit on a different part of the saddle when compared with men.
